Dead-End Job
About
Dead-End Job is a sharp, hilarious and unapologetically weird novel that blends undead horror with biting social satire and the chaos of minimum-wage survival.
After dropping out of law school and turning undead, Sonya finds herself stuck waiting tables for scraps and paying for medication that stops her from eating the customers. But in a world where being ‘alive’ is expensive, Sonya is about to discover just how rotten the system really is.
As the bills pile up and her body breaks down, Sonya is forced into a situation she never saw coming. She may be undead, but her struggle is far too human.
Jamii Fidler is the author of Dead-End Job, her debut full-length novel. Now based in Devon, she crafts stories laced with sharp wit and unsettling truths. Before turning to writing full-time, she worked as a financial advisor but shifted course due to a chronic health condition. Jamii is currently developing further unique, standalone zombie stories that explore the harsh realities of modern life.
